Quail eggs…what do they taste like?

When people walk by my farmers market table and see the tiny little speckled eggs, they usually gasp and talk about how adorable they are! And they are oh so cute!

The next obvious question is of course, what do they taste like?! Well, if you like chicken eggs, these are amazing!

The way I describe them is they have a great, mild flavor, nothing too strong or rich, like say a duck egg for example. Very palatable with soft, light yolks.

Quail eggs have up to 15 times more B vitamins than chicken eggs, double the iron and more good fat and protein by weight, so as you can see they are very beneficial to your health!

They can be boiled, fried, poached, scrambled or even pickled! And they even make special scissors for opening them, so it's super fast and easy.
