Instant Pot Rabbit

Here is a great starter recipe to get your rabbit meat ready for the table.

The meat will fall off the bone and be ready to use in many other recipes such as barbecue pulled rabbit or rabbit stew.

Main Ingredients

1 whole rabbit, thawed

1/2 c. water

1 t. salt

1/2 t. pepper

1/2 t. garlic powder

Recipe Steps

  1. Add 1/2 cup water to the bottom of your instant pot (or the minimum required by your specific brand)

  2. Prepare rabbit by sprinkling with salt, pepper and garlic (or other herbs & spices to your taste)

  3. Put rabbit in instant pot and set to sealing, high pressure cook for 45 minutes.

  4. You can quick release or slow release, let rabbit cool for a bit, then take out and serve OR pull meat from bones to be used in other recipes!

  5. Other recipe ideas: Use the pulled meat with a jar of your favorite BBQ sauce for sandwiches, use it in your favorite dumpling recipe in place of chicken, use it as a base for rabbit noodle soup, add some taco seasoning to make tacos or burritos...the list is endless!
